With New York Fashion Week approaching, its always a goal to find chic and comfy looks to style for the busy days that are ahead. The "sweat" trend is the perfect go-to look to hit the busy streets of New York City, running between runways shows and designer presentations.

I love this dress from Zara because is combines flirty femininity with tomboy chic. And yes, the lace skirt is attached. Score! Of course I added a fur stole from Poppy London and my go to So Kate pumps in the color Pacific. The fool proof, no spanx required look! LOL.

OOTD: Kimono Killa

Building a wardrobe is not about spending thousands of dollars for high end pieces, rather investing in statement items that you'll want to wear forever.

Best Friend: Have you seen the Kenzo collection at H&M?

Me: I saw it online and nothing really spoke to me.

Best Friend: Stop by tomorrow and let me know what you think.

Me: I'll try...

While I was beyond skeptical of the new Zenzo collection, my visit to my favorite H&M flagship (Times Square) proved to be well worth the cab fare. And to think, I was excited about the No. 21 Knotted Sandal Mules from Net-a-porter! This Kimono is the epitome of EVERYTHING! Not only is it comfy cozy, but its high fashion and can be worn with essentially anything. Even BFA thought it was worthy of a snap!

I paired the oversized Kimono with a ribbed high neck midi dress from H&M (purchased a million years ago) and the coveted No. 21 mules. How would you rock your Kimono?

P.S. The Kimono is reversible. Thank me later.

OOTD: Wind-Chill

Baby its cold outside! But never too cold for a little retail therapy.

Months ago I received a birthday gift from my dear friend and fashion writer Tyrus Townsend. Sidebar: He is a gift magi. He gifted me a beautiful bath and body set from "& Other Stories", part of retail mega brand H&M. I instantly fell in love with the products and used them daily in my beauty regimen. I was happy to find out later that & Other Stories is in fact a lifestyle brand with clothing, accessories and of course apothecary.

When I visit any retail store, my strategy is always the same; find the hidden gems. Visiting the multi-level & Other Stories store on 5th Avenue was more than a stylish treat. The store is curated to perfection, and behind every wall and fixture, hides an even more beautiful piece than seen before.

This denim belted coat is absolutely to die for! Purchased in a size 8, unfortunately, the coat is not available online, but available in stores. This coat has so much functionality. The kimono sleeves add a bit of flair with on-trend style. The combinations are limitless. Add a skirt or jeans for a denim on denim look or a ribbed midi dress like me!

Go forth and slay!
